Brian & Barbara McManus
Brian & Barbara (Barbs to her Friends) have been married for 37 years, have two sons and one granddaughter aged 7. Brian was a Police Constable for 24 years, 4 years in Rochester, Kent and 20 years in the Romney Marsh area so he knows the area and the people really well. Barbara has always worked with people and since moving to Romney Marsh she has worked at Saga for a few years, as a Legal Secretary for a Solicitor in Folkestone and as a Classroom Assistant with children who were visually impaired.
Brian & Barbara have been holiday relief landlords in a number of public houses including The Star. They have now been the proud owners of The Star since 2006 during which time they have made some changes but "we don't want to make any great changes as we believe it would spoil the character of The Star".
